Dedicated to environmental conservation, community support, and education for a sustainable future since our founding.
Green Environmental And Social Initiatives is a registered UK charity (No. 1214357) based in Ticehurst, East Sussex. We are a dedicated group of volunteers, trustees, and community members united by a shared vision: to protect our natural environment while supporting those most in need within our communities.
Our work spans three interconnected pillars: environmental conservation, social support, and education. We believe that by caring for our planet and each other, we can create lasting positive change that benefits both current and future generations.
From the rolling hills of the East Sussex countryside to the heart of village life in Ticehurst, our activities bring together people from all walks of life in meaningful, impactful work.
To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment; to relieve those in need through training, work placements, and support; and to advance education in climate change, sustainable development, and environmental protection for the benefit of the public.
A world where communities live in harmony with nature, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, and where future generations inherit a healthy planet equipped with the knowledge and resources to sustain it.
These principles guide everything we do, from our conservation projects to our community support programmes.
We are committed to protecting and enhancing the natural environment, recognising our responsibility as custodians of the land for future generations.
We approach all our work with empathy and understanding, particularly when supporting vulnerable individuals and communities facing hardship.
We believe in the power of people coming together. Our strength lies in the diverse volunteers and supporters who make our work possible.
Knowledge is the foundation of lasting change. We are dedicated to sharing our research and insights to empower others to act sustainably.
We champion sustainable development that meets present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own.
Everyone is welcome in our community. We provide opportunities for people of all backgrounds, abilities, and circumstances to contribute and benefit.
Our charitable objectives are delivered through a range of interconnected programmes that address environmental, social, and educational needs.
We work to protect and enhance the natural environment through practical conservation activities, habitat creation, and carbon sequestration initiatives.
We provide vital support to individuals facing hardship, offering pathways to self-sufficiency through training, work placements, and direct assistance.
Our charity is based in the historic village of Ticehurst, nestled in the beautiful High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This medieval village, with its traditional buildings, local pubs, and strong community spirit, provides the perfect setting for our work.
The surrounding countryside, with its ancient woodlands, hedgerows, and farmland, offers rich opportunities for conservation work while the close-knit community supports our social initiatives.
